Mary Richards BS, MS, PN1,CSCS USAW

Founder & Owner of Richards Nutrition

I realized early on that my dream job would be helping people get and stay in shape to live their fullest healthiest lives. My journey to getting here has been an adventure! I grew up in rural Alaska, hunting, fishing, gardening, playing sports at a high level and taking in the beauty of the creation! I was eventually recruited to play division 1 sports at Syracuse University while receiving my bachelors degree in exercise science. In college, I focused on athletic performance and strength and conditioning. I then completed two full-time internships, the first at Mike Boyle Strength and Conditioning  (MBSC) and the second at Harvard University where I became a board certified strength and conditioning specialist. I then received my masters degree in health and recreational sports management from Kent State University where I completed my graduate degree and continued to fall in love training and coaching college athletes who were daily working towards winning Championships! After my two year masters program I began working at Yale University where I worked with all 41 of their NCAA sport teams, and shortly after I was offered a job working at Boston College where I worked with all of the Olympic Sports on campus!

While Coaching at Boston College, I met my husband Jordan who was playing in the National Football league for the Patriots. We have been married 5 years, lived in 5 states, and have 3 beautiful children! After observing college and professional sports up close I have learned that the missing element of wholistic health and performance is nutrition! Nutrition coaching has helped me bridge the gape for my clients between just doing an exercise program to actually seeing major results! In my time as a coach I have worked with hundreds of high school, college, and professional athletes, helping them reach their ultimate fitness and nutrition goals. I am passionate about helping others do the same!
